In reply to Crowe. Not likely. Natural gas is not a neurotoxin in anywhere near the way CO is. The risk of explosion or fire is more significant with natural gas.

In reply to Katherine Emery. No you are not. While generally cars run fairly clean when they are outside, gunning the engine could increase CO levels. Pay attention to your alarm and keep windows on that side of the house closed.

I live in Sequim Washington and my next door neighbor has been gunning his truck 24/7 and, I can smell the exhaust in my bedroom i asked him to stop but he kept on pounding on the gas .My husband bought a carbon monoxide alarm , I just don't feel awake, and I fee like I am suffocating; consequently I go out grocery shopping and/or eat out and it takes me a couple hours to wake up. I contacted the authorities, and no one seems to be. alarmed. Am I over reacting?

The symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning are often very similar to the flu.
